Nintendo Won $4.5 Million From a Man Who Never Showed Up to Court. How They Found Him Bothers Me More Than the Verdict

A Washington court entered a $4.5 million default judgment against Switch piracy operator James "Archbox" Williams on September 23. The math is simple — $150,000 per title across 30 games. Marvel's Wolverine Just Broke Insomniac's Perfect Streak. A 78 on Metacritic Tells Only Half of Why

Reviews landed Wednesday for Marvel's Wolverine, five days ahead of its September 15 launch, and the aggregate score settled at 78 — below all three of Insomniac's Spider-Man games. Critics agree the combat is the bloodiest thing the studio has ever made. They disagree, hard, on whether trading an open world for a straight line was worth it.
