Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · SEPTEMBER 21, 2026This Privacy Policy explains what information BracksterNews collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you as a reader.
Information we collect
We collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the Site, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring pages. How much we receive depends on the cookie choices you make, as explained below. If you contact us directly, we also receive whatever information you choose to include, such as your email address and message.
Cookies and your choices
The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or manage your preferences. Analytics and advertising are two separate choices, and both are off until you turn them on. Your choice is saved on your device, in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask again on every page. You can change it at any time through the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
Essential. Essential storage keeps the Site working, including remembering your cookie choice. It is always on and can't be switched off.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which stories readers engage with. The Google tag loads on every page, but analytics cookies are only set if you accept analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics measures pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring pages in the normal way. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set, but the tag may still send limited, cookie-free signals to Google, such as the page address, the time of the visit, and browser and device information. As with any web request, your IP address necessarily reaches Google's servers. Google may use these signals for aggregated measurement and statistical modeling, which means our reports may not show every individual pageview from visitors who decline.
Advertising. We show ads through Google AdSense. The AdSense script loads on every page, but cookies for ad personalization are only used if you accept advertising. If you accept, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. If you decline, ads may still appear, but they are not personalized, and Google may still use limited, cookie-free data for purposes such as ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement. You can also review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings.
Europe, the UK and Switzerland. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, personalized advertising is only used with consent collected through Google's consent management platform, which is certified for the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The cookie panel on this Site does not turn on ad personalization for visitors in those regions; there it only controls analytics. Without that consent, ads are not personalized.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Site, understand which stories and formats are useful to readers, respond to inquiries and corrections, and, where permitted, support advertising that keeps BracksterNews free to read.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Limited data is shared with service providers that help us operate the Site — Google, through Google Analytics and Google AdSense — solely for the purposes described above, under their own privacy terms.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of certain data uses. Where the law requires consent for analytics and advertising cookies, we rely on the choices you make in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through “Cookie Preferences.” To exercise your other rights, contact us through the Contact page.
Children's privacy
BracksterNews is a general entertainment publication covering movies, series, and games, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on this page.
