There is a particular kind of calm in a quiet Game Pass month, and November 2026 is one. Xbox's list has ten new games, none of them a household name, and it lands in the same stretch as GTA 6's Nov. 19 launch, which is going to eat a lot of people's free time whether Game Pass likes it or not. I think that is okay. I would even call it a gift, and I'll explain why before the end.

Here is what this guide does. It puts every date in one calendar, shows which plan each game needs, flags the places where the published lists contradict each other, and gives you the order I would install things in. One honest note up front: I have not played any of these games. Descriptions come from NME, Pure Xbox, Techloy and a Windows Forum roundup, and the ranking is my own reading of those descriptions, not a review.

My 20-second verdict. November is a light month, and that is fine. If you only have room for two new games, I would pick Warhammer Survivors on Nov. 10 and Escape Academy 2 on Nov. 5. If Football Manager is your thing, it jumps to the top. And before Sunday, Nov. 15, choose one of the 14 leaving games and finish it, instead of trying to say goodbye to all of them.

The calendar: every date, tier and platform

Everything below is as of Monday, Nov. 2. NME published its confirmation of the month's additions that day, and Pure Xbox's guide and Techloy's lineup fill in platforms and descriptions. Green date blocks mark the big middle stretch, Nov. 10 and 11, when five entries arrive in two days.

Where the lists disagree

Game Pass lists are assembled from Xbox posts, store pages and the Xbox app, and by the time they reach a roundup they have often been copied, trimmed and re-tiered. I read four of them side by side, and they do not match. Rather than pick a winner quietly, here is every place where they split.

Pit of Goblin: is it on Premium?

A Windows Forum roundup of Xbox's own posts shows Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. Pure Xbox and NME show only Ultimate and PC.

Void/Breaker: Premium, and what 1.0 means

NME and Pure Xbox list Premium. Windows Report, as summarized by Windows Forum, does not. The same roundup says Xbox Wire still tags the game "Game Preview," while Pure Xbox calls Nov. 4 the move from early access to 1.0.

Thronefall: Premium shows up in some lists, not others

Techloy and Game Rant include Premium. NME and Pure Xbox list Ultimate and PC only.

Football Manager 27 on Nov. 10

NME adds Premium to the wider launch. Pure Xbox and Techloy list Ultimate and PC. Pure Xbox also lists cloud for Nov. 10 but not for the Nov. 3 PC start, and the Windows Forum roundup says it is unclear whether cloud works on launch day.

When Football Manager 26 leaves

The Windows Forum roundup, citing Xbox, puts Football Manager 26 and its console edition at Nov. 10. NME folds it into a 14-game list that stays playable until Nov. 15.

Three games only two outlets list

Tanuki: Pon's Summer, Hope in the City and Arkheron appear in NME and Pure Xbox. The Windows Forum roundup says the Xbox posts it checked did not confirm them, so I marked them "2 outlets."

None of these gaps changes whether you can play a game on Ultimate. They matter if you are on a cheaper plan, or if you are planning a weekend around a launch time.

Which plan you need, and why Premium is the open question

The US list prices reported by CNBC and Tom's Hardware, which I used in my cloud-hours story, are below. Every November game is listed for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Premium is where it gets murky, and Essential does not appear at all in the lists I read.

Ultimate$22.99Every new game is listed for it. This is the safe answer for all 10.
Premium$14.99Four games have at least one outlet listing it, and the lists disagree on every one.
Essential$9.99None of the lists I read name it for a November game.

My practical rule: if you are on Premium, treat the list as Ultimate-only until the game's own Xbox Store page says otherwise on your plan, and do not hold your evening for Pit of Goblin, Void/Breaker, Football Manager 27 or Thronefall on a guess. One more detail from NME: Microsoft denied reports of major changes to Ultimate, and a spokesperson said there are "no changes to previously announced games coming to Game Pass Ultimate on day one."

My install order: seven ranked, three I won't rank

I asked three questions of every game. Is it finished enough to judge? Can I tell from the published description what I would actually do in the first hour? And would I be glad if a friend invited me to play it? Where a list gave me nothing, I did not invent an answer.

  1. 1

    Warhammer Survivors

    Install first
    Nov. 10 · Series X|S, PC, cloud

One release calendar lists it as a full launch, and it is easy to describe in one breath: a bullet-heaven game with more than 40 champions from two Warhammer universes.

My take: The genre is built around short runs, which suits a month where GTA 6 is about to take over your evenings. If one new game earns a slot, I would give it this one.

  2. 2

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School

    Install with someone
    Nov. 5 · Series X|S, PC

It is the only title in the lists I read that names local co-op, next to solo and online co-op. The lists I read do not show cloud, so it does not touch your cloud hours.

My take: Escape rooms tend to be built for one good evening with another person. That is a guess about the format, not a review, but it is the one I would put on a couch.

  3. 3

    Void/Breaker (Version 1.0)

    Install early
    Nov. 4 · Series X|S, PC, cloud

The first big date of the month, and one of two games on this list carrying a 1.0 label (Pit of Goblin is the other).

My take: I only have a one-line description of the genre, so I am ranking the finish line, not the fun. If the first run clicks, you have a month of it ahead.

  4. 4

    Thronefall

    Short sessions
Nov. 11 · Series X|S, PC (cloud per Pure Xbox)

Build by day, defend by night. A game that explains itself in a sentence is easy to try for twenty minutes.

My take: Remember the DLC is not part of the deal. I would play the base game until I knew I wanted more.

  5. 5

    Football Manager 27

    Wildcard
Nov. 3 (PC early access), Nov. 10 (wider launch)

If you already play Football Manager, this is the headline of the month and it jumps to number one. If you do not, there is no gentle on-ramp I can recommend from a list.

My take: Football Manager 26 leaves on Nov. 10 per Xbox, the same day 27 fully launches. If you are mid-save, that date is the one to write down.

  6. 6

    Pit of Goblin

    Bring a group
    Nov. 3 · Series X|S, PC, cloud

An online horror co-op game. Horror co-op lives or dies on who is in the lobby.

My take: Free to try is the whole point of Game Pass, so I would try it, but only once I had two or three people to scream at.

  7. 7

    Gravhounds

    Wait a few updates
    Nov. 2 · Series X|S, PC, cloud

A co-op action builder for up to four players, and it is in Game Preview.

My take: Early access can turn into something great or stall, and you will not know which by installing it today.

Leaving soon: 14 games and one rule

NME lists 14 games leaving, and says they remain playable until Nov. 15, a Sunday. The Windows Forum roundup adds two cautions: Xbox itself put Football Manager 26 at Nov. 10, and the other 13 came from games.gg's reading of the Xbox mobile app's "leaving soon" section rather than a post the roundup could find. So treat Nov. 10 as the safe date for Football Manager 26 and Nov. 15 for the rest. According to games.gg, as relayed there, most of them carry discounts of at least 20%.

  • Football Manager 26Nov. 10 per Xbox
  • 1000xRESIST
  • Barbie Horse Trails
  • DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2
  • Firefighting Simulator
  • GoldenEye 007
  • Great God Grove
  • Moonlighter
  • Pigeon Simulator
  • Police Simulator: Patrol Officers
  • Relic Hunters Legend
  • Total Chaos
  • Winter Burrow
  • Wreckfest

GoldenEye 007 is listed for console and cloud only. The other twelve non-Football Manager titles are listed for console, PC and cloud.

My one rule: keep one, finish one. Nov. 2 to Nov. 15 is 13 days. You will not say a proper goodbye to 14 games in 13 days, so pick the single one you would be sorry to lose and ask yourself three things.

Would I replay it?

If yes, a discount of 20% or more is the best argument for owning it. Xbox says Football Manager 26 owners can buy it at a discount while it is still in the library.

Is it half-finished?

Then the 13-day clock is the real price. Play it first, decide to buy second.

Did I only install it to feel organized?

Let it go. A library you never open is not a collection, it is a to-do list.

My take: a quiet month is a gift

Here is what I keep coming back to. A subscription like this works best when it lets you take small risks. Nobody is going to spend $30 on an online horror co-op game from a studio they have never heard of, but a lot of us will happily spend an evening on it when it is already in the plan. November's list is almost entirely made of that kind of game, and that is not a weakness. It is the point of the service.

The real cost of Game Pass was never the monthly price. It is the install queue. Ten new games and 14 goodbyes is exactly the situation where people download six things, play none of them for an hour, and feel vaguely behind. I would rather you play two games to the end of a first evening than keep a tidy list.

The cloud cap makes this even more true. From November, Xbox says Ultimate gets 15 cloud hours a month, Premium 10 and Essential 5. Eight of these ten games are listed for cloud, which is lovely for trying something on a laptop, but it is a nice extra and not a plan. Install the ones you care about on the console or PC and save your cloud hours for the quick tests.

My honest bias: I would rather see one game finished than eleven installed. If this guide leaves you with a short list and a calmer queue, it did its job.

And a fair caution against myself. I am ranking descriptions, not gameplay. Three of these games have no description in any list I read, and one of the ones I ranked highly might feel flat the moment you start it. That is why the install order is a place to begin, not a verdict.

Four weeks, mapped around Nov. 19

This is my suggestion, not an Xbox schedule.

Nov. 2 to 8Void/Breaker, Escape Academy 2, a look at Pit of Goblin

Five dated entries land in the first week, which makes it the easiest week to overdo. I would pick two and leave the rest in the queue.

Nov. 9 to 15Warhammer Survivors, Thronefall, and the exit door

Another five dated entries land here, and so does the deadline for the 14 leaving games on Sunday, Nov. 15. This is the week to finish the one old game you care about.

Nov. 16 to 22GTA 6 week

GTA 6 launches Nov. 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, as I wrote in my cloud-hours story. It is not on this list, and I would not plan anything else around it.

Nov. 23 to 30Arkheron on the 27th, and whatever is left

The last date of the month is a game nobody has described yet. I would use this week to go back to whichever November game you actually kept.

HOW WE REPORTED THIS

Independently reported and written for this story from published November 2026 Game Pass coverage by NME, Pure Xbox, Techloy and a Windows Forum roundup of Xbox's posts, all read in full except the Xboxygen item, where I could see only the headline. I have not played any of these games, so descriptions are limited to what those sources reported, and the Void/Breaker genre line comes from that headline alone. Where the lists disagree on tiers, platforms or dates, I say so rather than pick one. The 14 leaving games come from NME; the Windows Forum roundup says games.gg read them from the Xbox mobile app's "leaving soon" section and that Xbox had not announced them in the posts it checked. Prices are the US figures used in our earlier cloud-hours story. The install order, the "wildcard" and "not ranked" calls and the week plan are my own judgments, not data. See our full editorial methodology for how we report and correct stories.
